Research Collection

My collected research includes two interviews, survey results, and gathered experiences from users across the web. While I reached out to a handful of others in hopes of conducting an interview or retrieving journal entries, the stars didn’t align. However, I was able to collect first-hand experiences from various sources that provided great insight.

I analyzed the 46 pages of information looking for similar themes and moments I found to be important to the project. To turn this information into usable data, I organized and coded these themes using Notion. You can view that coded information here (notion) or here (Google Drive).

I created an infographic based on the most prevalent themes in the data. There was an overwhelming mention of music experiences, set & setting importance, moments of introspection, and enhanced visuals. Pairing these enhanced experiences with virtual reality, which addresses each of these points, has great potential to improve the therapeutic healing process.
